Alison is one of Ireland’s most successful international models and in recent years has become one of Ireland’s foremost parenting, health and wellbeing specialists. Alison’s writing career started with her Mothering Diary in Ireland’s VIP Magazine for over 4 years and she now writes a parenting column for The Daily Mail and a travel column for The Mail on Sunday. She regularly contributes to various TV and radio shows on parenting issues as well as beauty, health and wellbeing.


She has travelled the country with her own 0 To Toddler shows. She is as an ambassador
for Honda, through which she has hosted “An evening with Alison Canavan and Friends” around the country for the past few years covering topics like beauty, fashion, parenting, nutrition and much more.
Alison’s interest in nutrition began in 2009 when she started studying Fitness Nutrition Coaching under NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association), in the United States. She has just graduated with distinction in Nutrition and Health Coaching from Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health (IINH), where she is continuing her studies in Nutritional Science and Therapeutics.
She also holds a diploma in PR, Marketing and Sales management from DBS and has studied business in The National College of Ireland NCI.

Alison has become a much sought after motivational speaker and regularly does talks on health and wellbeing, as well as motivational talks for Mums. She recently lectured in Trinity College on the module of Motherhood and Mental Health. She delivers talks on stress in the workplace to CEO’s and business leaders across the country and in June 2014 she chaired and spoke at the first ever Barnardos Parental Mental Health Conference in Ireland at Croke Park.


Alison is a popular MC for launches and events. She regularly judges Ladies’ Days across Ireland. She is available for brand ambassadorships and continues to model both at home and internationally. 

She is currently writing her first book ‘Minding Mum’, due for release in March 2016 published by GILL & MACMILLAN.
